The Missions

Global 6K Walk for Water

We’re excited to share that we have joined with the Evangelical Covenant Church of Canada and World Vision to take action on the global water crisis.

As a church family, ECC is raising funds to support clean water projects in Karawa, Democratic Republic of Congo. The need is urgent—more than 800 children under the age of five die every day from illnesses caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and inadequate hygiene. These are preventable tragedies.

Our goal is to raise $2,000, by hosting this 6K event.

Democratic Republic of Congo Kids

Erickson Covenant Church has partnered with World Vision, and successfully sponsored children in the DR Congo during the Chosen event in Fall 2024! Our longstanding history with the region made this collaboration a perfect fit, allowing us to bring hope and transformative opportunities to children in need.

Ecuador Adventure Mission

Ecuador Adventure 2026

November 6–15, 2026

The Ecuador Adventure trip offers Canadian participants a chance to serve alongside Ecuadorian churches in meaningful community projects—from rebuilding after natural disasters to fostering faith through spiritual, medical, and educational initiatives. Through long-term collaboration with IPEE and the Santiago Partnership, the Covenant Church of Canada seeks to meet tangible physical needs while strengthening local church leadership and disciple-making efforts.

This 10-day experience (November 6–15, 2026) is an opportunity to engage cross-culturally, build relationships, and be part of lasting impact in Ecuadorian communities.

Kernels of Hope

A partnership leveraging Canadian agriculture to combat hunger in East Africa. Canadians become virtual farmers by donating to plant and grow crops in Canada, which supports smallholder farmers overseas. On March 22, 2026, we had the pleasure of welcoming Ray "The Grain Guy" Baloun to the Worship Service for a ECC Missions Weekend. As a founder of the ministry, he was able to share some insight and stories.

How It Works

You donate — Each donation sponsors an acre of land in Canada.
Canadian farmers grow crops like wheat or canola on donated land. Once sold, profits are directed back to Tearfund Canada. 
Funds are doubled — The Canadian Foodgrains Bank matches donations dollar-for-dollar, doubling their impact
